Cayenne 3.6 V6 2007-2010 (M55.01) & 2010-2016 (M55.02)

The 3.6 V6 (VR6) engine by VW are equipped with PCV. The PCV-valve is integrated in the valve cover. It allows secondary air flow through the crank case to actively flush all blow-by out to prevent any condensates contaminating the oil. On the M55.01/02  the vent line is located on the passenger side under the intake manifold cover. We have no information how effective the OEM oil air separator works.

Our air oil separator with 180° degrees fittings may be fitted close to the aft bracket between the stiffeners. After removal of 41mm (10-11 ribs), the rubber sleeves are inserted into the open hose ends to finally attach the separator, may be slightly angled. The dedicated design of the sleeves compensates for any slight offset or bent hose ends as well as for oval openings. If the bracket appears weak, separator installation at the engine back side may be a more reasonable option however, with potentially some restricted access to the can.
